BULLET THROUGH GLASS
MOTORIST'S ESCAPE (Special to THE SUN) CHRISTCHURCH, Wednesday. "While driving along the main North Road between the Hurunui Bridge and Domett, Mr. C. Hayward, of Christchurch, overtook and passed another car. As he passed, the glass of his windscreen on the side farthest from the other car was smashed. Pieces of glass flew into the car, which swayed off the road slightly, and the other four passengers expected it to capsize. It was thought at first that a stone had been flicked up from one of the tyres of the other car, but later Mr. Hayward found a bullet in his overcoat pocket, in the middle of his folded handkerchief.
