PLANE SWOOPS INTO CROWD
ACCIDENT AT FETE PILOT’S TRAGIC ERROR (United P.A..—By Telegraph — Copyright) (Australian P.A —United Service) Reed. 11.52 a.m. PARIS, To-day. A shocking accident occurred at an aviation fete at Orly, an airplane crashing into a crowd of spectators, killing two and injuring several. Curiously the airplane had no connection with the fete. It was a naval plane carrying out a practice flight. Noticing the airdrome the pilot dec: to land and shut off his engine. Suddenly he found he was too low and was unable to rise before the machine swept into the crowd. All the injured are in hospital, but the pilot suffered only a few bruises.
