WANDERING CAR

“MIXES IT” WITH A FRUIT CART Fruit came down with a rush on Saturday—but not in price. The event •was not due to competition, but to the unrestricted actions of a driverless motor-car. Early in the afternoon, during the dullest period of the day, a car on Victoria Street stand imitated the mischievous billy-goat and, leaving its place, moved across the road and bumped a Hindu’s fruit cart hard. Fruit came down in a shower and scattered the pavement. The car was scratched. The fruit cart suffered a broken axle and other injuries.
