BURGLAR’S REVENGE

SET FIRE TO FACTORY FOUND SAFE EMPTY (United P.A.—By Telegraph — Copyright) SYDNEY, Friday. After breaking open a safe at Wallace’s factory at Leichardt, a suburb of Sydney, and finding it empty, burglars set fire to the building, causing £6,000 worth of damage. This is the second case of the kind within a fortnight. The previous one resulted in damage estimated at £25,000, being caused when the premises of Messrs. Beard Brothers, drapers, were destroyed by fire on May 14.
