EXPORT CREDITS SCHEME
COMMITTEE TO CONSIDER ITS FUTURE IN BRITAIN British Wireless—Press Assn.—Copyright Reed. noon. RUGBY, Friday. The future of the export credits scheme, under which no new business can be accepted after September of next year, unless Parliament should in the meantime decide otherwise, is likely to be considered by a departmental committee. Application for credits under the scheme have increased so greatly that the question of whether a voluntary advisory committee should be relieved of some of its duties is likely to be considered, as well as the whole question of whether the export credits scheme would not now be carried out satisfactorily by private enterprise. It is anticipated that the committee will include representatives of the business, banking, and insurance interests that have made use of the system.
