AV£RICAN PASTOR’S VISIT y tr. M. Howard Fagan, D.D., is visiting , New Zealand, his native countn af’ jer an absence of 18 years, sper * m ostly in the United States. Ke vrifi r t /main a week in Auckland, during v /hich time he will speak at a series • of public meetings. Mr. Fagan has held a number o: important positions in the churches of the United States, and is now paster of the First Christian Church. Honolulu. For nine years he was pastor othe Wiltshire Boulevard Church, ’jo* Angeles, which has a membership ot 1,200. During this time the church
erected its present huge building which cost a total of £120,000.
To-morrow Mr. Fagan will j.peak s; Dominion Road tinder the auspices c f the Associated Churches of Christ, am. in the evening at Ponsonby. At 8.15 p.m. he will deliver his sermon. ‘ The Deity of Christ.” A dinner and welcome meeting will be held on Mondev and on Wednesday Mr. Fagan will deliver a public lecture at the Ponsonby Road Church of Chirst.
At the Dominion Road church on Saturday afternoon Mr. Fagan will speak at a combined meeting of Chii«tian Endeavour Societies and lounp Peoples’ Auxiliaries. The final meetings of the series will be held or Sunday, June 3.
Mr. Fagan sails by the Niagara for Honolulu on June 5.
