METHODIST ORPHANAGES

ANNUAL GIFT AFTERNOON The annual gift afternoon for the Methodist Orphanage and Children’s Home will be held on Tuesday afternoon in the Pit.t Street Methodist Church Schoolroom. The arrangements are being undertaken by the women’s committee. Opportunity will be taken to give a public farewell to Mrs. Armitage, who for over eight years, has given valued service :’s matron of Wesley and Epworth Homes, Mount Albert. Her successor, Miss Johnston, of Canada, will be welcomed. An address will be given by the Rev. W. J. Elliot, president of the Methodist Conference, who will preside over the assembly. Addresses will also be given by the - Rev. G. Bond and Mrs. A. C. Caughey. Gifts of money, clothing and material will be gratefully accepted.
