COAL-MINERS’ DISPUTE
OWNERS AND MEN CONFER A dispute which has arisen between the Waipa coal-miners and the coalowners is being heard at Auckland today before a committee composed of employers and men, with Air. E. C. Cutten, S.M., as chairman.
The hearing of this dispute is described by Air. T. O. Bishop, secretary of the New Zealand Employers’ Federation, who is on the committee, as purely a domestic affair, and one of many which arise in the administration of the: agreement between the owners and the miners.
It is provided in the agreement that any question not covered specifically shall be dealt with in this manner.
