FRANKTON HOUSE WORKERS
PROTEST AGAINST DISMISSAL REPLY BY PRIME MINISTER (From Our Own Correspondent) HAMILTON, To-day. Following the dismissal of seven men from the raihvay house factory at Frankton, and the protest made by Mr. W. Lee Martin, M.P., the following letter has been received by Mr. Martin from the Prime Minister: “The Government is making every possible effort to absorb men thrown out of employment on account of lack of work at the house factory, and special steps are being taken at present to find work, particularly for married men.”
