In the Magistrate’s Court Henry Patrick Moore, aged 38, pleaded guilty to eight charges of breaking and entering various houses early this month and committing theft. The police said accused travelled round as a tinker. To gain entrance he broke leadlights over the doors or windows and then loosed the catch. In all he had taken £IOO worth of goods and jewellery from eight houses. He was caught in the act in a fclyd- ■ enham house. He was committed for sentence and j no bail was applied for.
