SHIPWRECK RELIEF
£13,000 ACCUMULATED Prcs3 Association. DUNEDIN, To-day. At the annual meeting of the New Zealand Shipwreck Relief Society, accumulated funds were announced as £13,003, and the year’s surplus as £1,007. The Union Company’s contribution to the funds was £473. The president, Si'r William Si in, commented on the happy fact that there had been no disaster for many years, which enabled a large fund to be built up. Only £63 had been paid out during the year. In answer to\ an appeal from Captain Attwood for help, a fisherman who lost his boat in a gale, was voted £lO.
