CAR ROLLS INTO DRAIN

FAMILY HURT WOMAN’S RIBS BROKEN Presa Association. GISBORNE, Sunday. As the result of a collision between two motor-cars at Patutalii last evening. one car, driven by Mr. Francis Parker and containing his wife and three children, went headfirst into a wide drain and fell on its side. The occupants were thrown out. Mr. Parker escaped with bruises, but some of Mrs. Parker’s ribs were broken and she was badly bruised; Doris Parker, aged 11 years, had one wrist broken and suffered abrasions, and Jack Parker, aged eight years, was cut about the legs. The sufferers were removed to the Cook Hospital, but it is not thought their injuries a:V serious. The occupants of the other car were unhurt.
