Sir,— There is a good deal of misunderstanding regarding the agencies that exist for the benefit of seafaring In the endeavour to remove this, will you kindly publish the following:There are: (1) The Auckland Sailors’ Home in Quay Street. Tdis has been established for 40 years. It ls a first-class residential institution seamen, providing accommodation tor 50 men. There are dining, smoking, billiards and writing rooms, comfortable single bedrooms and first-cias* service. A large sum is being sP®® on necessary renovations and extensions. Then attached to the home the Mission Hall, the ieadquarters othe British Sailors’ Society.
