£SOO DAMAGES GRANTED

TRAM AND BUS SERVICES SUED Press Association. CHRISTCHURCH, Thursday. Judgment against the Christchurch Tramways Board for £516 16s was given by Mr. Justice Adams on the finding of a jury in the Supreme Court to-day, in a case in which an Invercargill resident, Daniel Petrie Walker, railway employee, sued the Tramway Board and the Inter-City Motor Service Company for £559 19s damages for injuries received in a collision between a tramcar -and a bus at a street intersection. The jury found that the accident was due to negligence on the part of the tramway motorman.
