Menzel (Czecho-Slovakia) beat Valmstrome (Sweden), 6—3, 6—3, 3—6, 7 —5. At Berlin, Prenn (Germany) beat Sindred (Spain), 5 —7, 6—2, 2 —6, 6 —3, 6 —4. Moldenhauer (Germany) beat Falguer (Spain), 6 —4, 3 —6, 6 —5, 6—3. HARD COURT TITLES At Paris there are 69 entries in the men’s singles in the hard court tennis championships, which begin on May 21. Germany and Italy are not represented. The draw was seeded. The top half includes Patterson, Brookes, F. T. Hunter, Borotra, Boussus, Cochet, Boyd (Argentine), Timmer (Holland). The lower half includes Hawkes, Crawford, Lacoste, Brugnon, Gregory, Sleem (India), and Robson (Argentine). There are 64 entries for the doubles. The top half of the draw includes Borotra and Brugnon, Hunter and Brookes, Hopman and Crawford. The lower half includes Lacoste aud Boussus, Cochet and de Buzelet, Patterson and Hawkes.
