The Prime Minister, the Right Hon. j G. Coates, will arrive from the North this evening and will go on to Wellington by the Limited. The Rev. Payne left for the South last evening by the Limited. Mr. A. M. Samuel, M.P., returned to Wellington last evening by the Limited. The Hon. J. A. Young, Minister of Health, returned to Wellington by the Limited last evening. Mr. E. H. Northcroft has been reelected unopposed to the Council of the Auckland University College. Mr. R- Aickin, private secretary to the Prime Minister, will return to Wellington by the Limited this evening. L>r. T. G. Gray, Inspector-General of Mental Hospitals, will return to Wellington by train this evening. Dr. F. W. Hildengorf, of the Canterbury Agricultural College, arrived in Wellington from Lyttelton yesterday. Mr. F. D. Thomson, permanent head of the Prime Minister’s Department, will go South by the Limited this evening. Major-General R. Young, C. 8., C.M.G., D. 5.0., G.0.C., New Zealand Forces, arrived in Wellington this morning by ihe Limited. Mr. C. L. Grange, town clerk of Whangarei, has been advised of his appointment as town clerk and treasurer of Invercargill. Mr. and Mrs. T. H. Patterson, formerly of Auckland, and their children, have arrived at Sydney "rom New Zealand. Mr. Patterson has been appointed Instructor of Agriculture at Hawkesbury College, where there are a large number of youthful students The Hon. O. J. Hawken, Minister of Agriculture, arrived at Dunedin last evening from Invercargill. He broke his journey North to attend the anniversary ‘function of the Edendale Dairy Company.
