FINED ON OLD CHARGE
LANGUAGE AT KINGSLAND LONG-DELAYED ARREST Frank Kane, aged 22, used obscene language at Kingsland on February 11, 1927. He was punished for the breach of etiquette to-day. Kane, when he appeared at the Police Court yesterday, was sentenced to seven days’ imprisonment for assault. To-day, he said he had used the language under provocation. Senior-Sergeant Cummings said that accused had used the language, which was disgusting, in the presence of a crowd. A warrant had been issued for his arrest after the offence, but it was executed only yesterday. Kane was fined £5 in default 14 days* imprisonment..
