SERIOUS CHARGE MADE AGAINST MINISTER
NAME SUPPRESSED REMANDED FOR A WEEK Presa Association. WELLINGTON, Wednesday. In the Police Court this afternoon a minister, aged 49 years, was charged that on November 2, 1927, at Wellington, he did indecently assault a male. On the application of the chief detective a remand until May 23 was granted. Accused asked for bail, which was granted—£lso and two sureties of £75. Counsel also asked for an order sup* pjessing accused’s name. Mr.. W. G. Riddell, 5.M.,. said counsel need not put forward any grounds in support of his application. He proposed to order the suppression, however, pending further proceedings.
