MOTORIST CLAIMS OVER £6OO DAMAGES

COLLISION AT HENDERSON An action for damages arising out of a motor accident which occurred at Henderson on December 12 began before Mr. Justice MacGregor in the Supreme Court to-day. The plaintiffs were Mr. W. C. Bickley and his wife (Henderson) and the defendant was Mr. W. P. Levy (Gler Eden), owner of the other vehicle involved. Evidence was given concerning the collision, it being stated that Mrs. Bickley suffered severe injuries, and an allegation of negligence, which was denied, was made by plaintiffs. Mr. Hall Skelton appeared for plaintiffs and Mr. G. P. Finlay for defendant. The claims made totalled £637 2s 6d, including £B7 2s 6d special damages. Mr. W. O. Bickley sought £l5O for loss of car, and £SO for loss of earnings, in addition to other damages, while his wife claimed £ 300 in respect of general damages and injuries ceived, as well as £56 12s 6d special damages. The case is proceeding.
