METHODIST SYNOD
PROGRESS IN BUILDING REPORTED The splendid progress in the building of the new college and the memorial chapel at Paerata was referred to at the opening session of the May Synod of the Methodist Ministers and Home Missionaries of the Auckland District yesterday. The Rev. W. J. Elliott presided. Erections and additions to buildings were reported from Edendale, Glen Eden and Northcote, as well as extensive renovations and improvements to various circuit properties. Mrs. Bennett, of Port Albert, was thanked for her generous gift of a new parsonage. The splendid work done by the late Mr. Frank Myers, of Epsom, was praised by members, who offered their sympathy to Mrs. Myers and her family.
