MOTOR AND TRAM COLLIDE HEAD ON

DRIVER HURT SLIGHTLY A five-seater motor-car driven by Mr. Thomas Daly was wrecked in a collision with a tramcar in Eden Terrace a few minutes before eight o’clock this morning. Mr. Daly was cut slightly on the face, and bruised. As the car was being driven toward the city from Mr. Daly’s home at 612 New North Road, Mount Albert, it swung into the centre of the road to avoid another car passing a stationary vehicle, and crashed into the tram coming in the opposite direction. The front axle, windscreen, and mudguards of the motor were badly damaged. The St. John Ambulance took Mr. Daly to the Auckland Hospital, and later to his home. He is a married man of 39.
