SOFT DRINKS SAILOR
SHOP BROKEN INTO ARREST AFTER CHASE A sailor, aged 16, a member of the crew of H.M.S. Diomede, was charged at the Police Court this afternoon with breaking and entering. It was alleged that he broke into a shop in Great North Road last night and stole soft drinks valued at Is lOd. Chief-Detective Hammond said accused had climbed out of a window with his boots off and was captured after a chase. Accused was remanded to appear next Thursday, and was given liberty to return to his ship.
