SCHOOLS INTO BOOTHS
OBJECTION BY BOARD Conversion of schools into polling booths is not approved by the Auckland Education Board, which is asking the department to check the practice as far as possible. “We should oppose this except where no other buildings are available,” said the chairman, Mr. A. Burns. “There is a serious result in closing down a school like Kowhai Junior High School.”
