TAKAPUNA’S ENTERPRISE

The Takapuna Boating Club has carried the reputation of being the livest aquatic club on the harbour as far as thinking up new attractions is concerned. Latest of its social schemes is a boxing and wrestling tournament to decide the amateur championships of the North Shore, and to augment the club’s funds. A particularly attractive series of bouts has been arranged. The cooperation of the naval authorities has been secured and the sailors will provide half the programme. In the boxing events entries are invited for all divisions from fly-weight to middleweight, and in the wrestling from light to middle-weight. The contests will be held in the clubhouse, Bayswater, on May 22.
