OPENING THIS EVENING RESULTS OF JUDGING (From Our Own Correspondent) WHANGAREI. To-day. The Hon. J. A. Young, Minister for Public Health, will officially open the Whangarei Winter Show this evening. The institution of “shopping week’’ has been responsible for attracting many visitors to Whangarei. Mr. L. J. Brake, Mayor of Whangarei, yesterday declared the carnival open. Results of butter and cheese classes at the show were: Class A.—Box of butter suitable for export (561 b): Cambridge Dairy Company, 94 J points, 1; Whangarei. 94, 2; Piopio, 93J, 3. Class B.—Box of butter (561 b), suitable for export: Whangarei, 95 points, 1; Tauranga, 942 points, 2; Oruru, Fairburn, 94, 3. Class C. —Box of butter, unsalted, suitable for export: Te Awamutu Dairy Company, 93 points, 1; Cambridge, 92, 2; Taupiri, 912, 3. Class D.—Box of butter made by buttermaker or factory manager’s firstassistant, suitable for export: Whangarei, 95 points, 1; Tauranga, 942, 2; Waipu, 94, 3. Class E.—One case of cheese (SOlb), coloured or plain, suitable for export: Ekouria (Taneatua), 94 points. 1: Toatoa and Leamington, 93, equal, 2.
