SOCIAL EVENING The third social evening of the Athenian Club was held on Saturday, when the hall was beautifully decorated with Chinese lanterns, balloons, and streamers, and a splendid programme was given. Mr. and Mrs. Phil Lewis made a charming host and hostNovelty dancing was a feature of the evening to the strains of the Athenian Jazz Band, and a splendid evening concluded with “Auld Lang Syne.” Those contributing to the enjoyable programme were: Mademoiselle Valeska, Miss Syms, Mr.* and Mrs. P. Lewis, Messrs. Pitken, Bennett, Peter Franchi and Len Wilson. Mrs. Phil. Lewis welcomed the guests, wearing an attractive frock of pink sequined georgette.
