STEAMER GROUNDS ON SAND IN FOG
FLOATS OFF UNDAMAGED Press Association. TIMARU, To-day. This morning when coming into port from Lyttelton, the steamer Calm momentarily grounded on the sandy beach north of the Lashing Rocks, but was refloated by her own power within a few minutes and proceeded to her berth. At the time of the accident the harbour was enveloped in dense fog. It is understood the vessel was not damaged.
