1 GINGER SNAPS a ■ jvALF lb flour, SO2 batter, 3 03 y B / —J castor sugar, 1* teaspoonful s JJ ground ginger, golden syrup, § gj almonds. Sieve the ginger with jgg ■ the flour, rub in the butter, add H B sugar, and mix well. Gradually S _ add enough golden syrup (about B - three tablespoonfuls') to make a S U very stiff paste. Knead until [I gjjj quite smooth, then roll out and cut B _ into rounds, and place on a lightly- y p buttered baking-sheet, Blanch a = B few almonds, split them, and place S' _ a-lialf one on each biscuit.
