TO HELP THE NEEDY

EXHIBITION AND FAIR “GIVE THAT OTHERS MAY LIVE” An Advertising Exhibition, at which everything will be sold. That is the ingenious method by which the Rev. C. G. Scrimgeour will raise funds for the unemployed. Mr. Scrimgeour is head of the Methodist Central Mission, with headquarters .in Airedale Street, and has done a great deal toward relieving distress in Auckland. “Give, that others may live,” is his motto, and on May 31 and June 1 the people of Auckland will have an opportunity both to give and to buy. In the Town Hall Mr. Scrimgeour is arranging a large Advertising Exhibition of his own. where goods which have been given by firms, organisations and private individuals will be on view. Later they will be sold ar auction, the proceeds to go to the relief of the needy. In addition to the exhibition there will be a huge fair with numberless attractions and side-shows and a concert party. Boots and shoes, hats and frocks, jam, assorted groceries, clothing of all kinds, fruit, meat and almost everything to stock the home and the larder have been promised for the big fair and exhibition.
