HOBSON ACCLIMATISATION

SOCIETY ELECTS OFFICERS There was a good attendance of members at the annual general meeting of the Hobson Acclimatisation Society held in Dargaville on Wednesday evening. Officers were elected as follows: President, the Rt. Hon. J. G. Coates: vice-presidents. Mx. Geo. Marchant: auditor, Mr. A. L. Billing; council, Messrs. Dargaville, Marchant, Walpole, Corkill, Hunter, Sills. Finch, Lloyd, Curnow, Wansbone arid Ambury. The local shooting season will open on June 1. It was decided that an endeavour be made to arrange a conference of societies in North Auckland with a view to fixing a common date for the opening of the season.
