RICKARD SIGNING UP FOR BOUT IN 1929
r winner of the TunneyHeeney heavy-weight championship bout this summer will fight under the promotion of Tex Rickard in 1929 if a title match is staged at all next year, says an American paper. Rickard said he recently had signed contracts with both, giving him control over the one holding the title in 1929. The contracts, it was added, are applicable only to the winner of this year’s championship bout.
