RESENTED WINDOW-BREAKING REPRISAL Recently in the possession of two or three hundred pounds, Norman McLeod, aged 49, was unable to pay a small fine at the Police Court to-day. He pleaded guilty to a charge of damaging panes of glass valued at 15s. Senior-Sergeant Cummings said that accused- was turned out of his boardinghouse yesterday because of drunkenness. - Before he went he broke two windows. “He had" two or three hundred pounds not long ago,” said Mr. Cummings, “but he’s.cu,t i% all out now.” McLeod.was. fined 10s and ordered to pay for the damage don # e. He asked for time -to -pay, and the default was fixed at 48’ hours’ imprisonment.
