MOND WILL NOT STAND
CARMARTHEN ELECTION PEERAGE RUMOUR AGAIN ' British Official Wireless RUGBY, Monday. Sir Alfred Mond announces that he will not again contest the Carmarthen division, for which he now sits in the House of Commons. Rumours have been current that Sir Alfred will be elevated to the peerage on the Ring’s Birthday. This announcement is regarded as confirming the report. If Sir Alfred becomes a peer there will necessarily be a by-election in Carmarthen.
