WAITAKERE DAMS GAIN 85,000,000 GALLONS

YESTERDAY’S rainfall saw A heavy increases in the city’s water supply. The Waitakere dam now holds 47 feet, the gain having been 4ft 10in. in the 24 hours ended 7 a.m. to-day. The main Nihotupu dam gained 7ft 6in, and is now 75ft Jin deep. In all, the dams are holding 511,000,000 gallons, an increase of 85,000,000 gallons for the 24 hours.
