MORE MINERS IDLE
BROKEN HILL THREAT (United P.A.—By Telegraph Copyright) Reed. noon. BROKEN HILL, To-day. Mr. C. Emery, the general manager of several Broken Hill mines, announces that unless the price of metal improves, or the costs of production are reduced, the British mine will be closing down, which will render idle 458 additional miners. Already hundreds of miners are unemployed In Broken Hill through a similar reason.
