Administrator Lands

COL. ALLEN WELCOMED TO SAMOA MAU NOT DEMONSTRATIVE Special to Press Association.—By Wireless Reed. 11.45 a.m. APIA, Thursday. The new Administrator of Samoa, Colonel S. S. Allen, landed at nine o’clock this morning. There was a representative gathering of citizens. In the afternoon he will receive a Samoan welcome at Mulinuu, when there will be singing, dancing, and food presentations. Some of the Mau police in uniform strolled Apia streets, but they carried no sticks, and there was nothing demonstrative about them. To-morrow the Administrator receives representatives of the missions, the Planters* Association, and the commercial houses respectively.
