1928-29 SEASON COMMITTEE ALLOTS DATES At a meeting of the Auckland District Committee hold yesterday, applications for dates for next season’s racing were considered and approved. The Waikato Hunt was recommended to select a date other than October 22, Labour Day, which was approved for the Waikato Racing Club. Several clubs applied for extra racing days and it was decided to recommend, shoiild the necessary permits be available, that one day extra be granted to the Waipa Racing Club. Whangarei Racing Club, and Bay of Plenty Jockey Club. The following is the list of dates approved: SEASON 1928-29 September 22 and 24.—Avondale Jockev Club. September 29.—Pakuranga Hunt. October 6 and S.—Auckland Racing Club. October 20 and 22.—Waikato Racing Club. October 27 and 29. —Largaville Racing Club. November 8 and 10. —Whangarei Racing Club. November 17. Waipapakauri Racing November 17 and 19.—Thames Jockey Club. November 24 and 26.—Te Kuiti Racing Club. November 30 and December I.—Takapuna Jockey Club. December B.—Taumarunui Racing Club. December 15.—Waipa Racing Club. December 26 and 28, and January 1 and 2.—Auckland Racing Club. January 16. —Opotiki Jockey Club. January 19.—Bay of Islands Racing Club. January 26 and 29.—Takapuna Jockey Club. February 2.—Matamata Racing Club. February 9 and 11.—Rotorua Racing Club. February 23 and 25.—Te Aroha Jockey Club. March 9.—Franklin Racing Club. Easter Handicap on April 19, 1919, carrying 9.13 and finishing out of a place. Uncle Ned won that race. REMINDERS Owners and trainers are reminded that nominations for general events to be decided at the winter meeting of the Auckland Racing Club to be held on June 2. 4 and 6, will close at 5 p.m Friday, May 4.
