SILVER LINING
NEXT YEAR’S HOSPITAL LEVY Although this year’s hospital levy has jumped from .25d to .30d, the chairman of the board holds out the prospect of the silver lining. He says that this year’s increase may enable the debt to be written off and a clean sheet presented next year, in which case he was sure that the levy would be reduced to .28d.
The board commenced last year with an overdraft of £11,580 and this year it had risen to £24,749.
