It was al'.-rge-i that Hassett was aaneved because Lloyd had been paying attention to a certain y mmg woman with whom he had formerly kept company. For the defence. Mr. White argued that the stabbing had occurred accidentally daring a scoJBB between the two men. The jury returned •- veri. t of guilty on the charge of assault, and a: used was remanded till Friday m: rning for sentence. In the meantime a report is to be obtained from the probation officer.
