NEW SYLLABUS
PRIMARY SCHOOLS WORK ADVANCE COPIES READY 1 (From Our Resident Reporter.) WELLINGTON. To-day. Advance copies of the new syflabv for the primary schools of the minion will be distributed to the lead ers this week. The syllabus, however* will not be issued under Order-it Council until toward the end of tk year, after consideration has beq given to any recommendations the Net Zealand Educational Institute wish to make. The work of revision has occupied considerable amount of the time anc|g thought of the school inspectors, who* recommendations form the major par of the new curriculum. The reco® mendations made by the Prin.au Schools Syllabus Revision Committed were carefully considered in Februarj last, and in many instanc were in corporated after amendment. The Minister of Education, the Hon R. A. Weight, proposes to release thf report of the committee for publicatJoi at an early date. It is a voluminous document, consisting of a majority re port and a minority report.
