CHRISTCHURCH BLAMES BUSES COUNCIL SHOWS PROFIT Press Association. CHRISTCHURCH, To-day. j A deficiency of £7,193 in the general ! revenue account of the Christchurch j Tramway Board was revealed when! the annual statement of accounts to March 31 was presented yesterday afternoon. It was stated that of this deficiency, buses were responsible for £2,501. According to a statement made at last evening's meeting of the city council by the chairman of the finance committee, the council finished the financial year ended on March 31 with a credit balance of £14,150. This in- ; eludes outstanding rates amounting to £6,000.
