TIMARU TO MAN ADMITS CHARGES “From Timaru to Auckland he’s left a trail of valueless cheques,” said Chief - Detective Hammond when James Bruce Miller, aged 29, appeared at the Police Court today. He pleaded guilty to a charge of obtaining £7 by means of a valueless cheque. Chief-Detective Hammond said that accused, who came from Timaru. arrived in Auckland last week. He was wanted in Timaru, Christchurch and Wellington for similar offence. Miller, who admitted the other charges, was remanded to appear at Wellington on Friday, and will there be sentenced on the Auckland charge.
