EPIPHANY CHURCH
NEED FOR SINKING FUND “We have passed through a very trying year of church life and work owing very largely to the all too prevalent unemployment,” stated the vicar, the Rev. R. G. Coats, in his report to the annual meeting of the parishioners of Epiphany Church. It was to be regretted, he said, that many years ago a sinking fund for the building of a permanent chuich was not established. At the present time the buildings were perishing and no funds were available for repair. Officers were elected as follow: Vicar’s warden, Mr. H. Pennison; people’s warden, Mr. E. J. Hewitt; vestry, Messrs. H. Graham (secretary and treasurer).. Houlding, Port, Taylor, Drew, Dibble and Exall: auditor, Mr. H. W. Wilson.
Following the meeting a social was held. Songs were given by Miss Anderson, Mrs. McClay, Mr. Jeffcott and Courtley. The Ladies’ Guild served refreshments.
