BILL TO PROTECT GIRLS AUSTRALIAN ACTORS MOVE (United. P.A. —By Telegraph — Copyright) SYDNEY, Sunday. In order to protect young girls from white slavers masquerading as theatrical managers, the Actors’ Federation has drafted two bills for submission to Parliament. One proposes that when persons are convicted of white slavery they should be punished with a fine of £2OO, or one year’s imprisonment. The other proposes that all theatrical employers should be registered and that their books should be open to inspection by the public.
