NO “BILLS” WANTED

Stanton, for the City Council, handed each member of the commission a copy of the Omnibus Act. When the chairman, Mr. J. S. Barton, opened his copy the account for the cost of the Acts fell out. “Oh, Mr. Stanton; just a minute. We want the 'Acts,’ but we don’t want any 'bills,’ ” remarked Mr. Barton as he handed the account back amid laughter.
