MOTHERS’ UNIONS’ AIM OPPOSED TO DIVORCE Press Association. WELLINGTON. To-day. A memorial from the Dominion Council of the Mothers’ Union was presented to the Anglican General Synod to-day. The resolutions attached were carried, these being, first, that an expression of sympathy with the objects of the Mothers’ Union be recorded, especially in its endeavour to create a healthier home life; second, that apprehension be expressed at tho increase in the number of divorces in New Zealand, and that a protest be entered against the extension of an>* further facilities for divorce; Xbird. that the age of marriage, now 14 for boys and 12 for girls, be raised to 16 for both sexes; and. fourth, that thes© resolutions be conveyed to the Prime Minister
