STATE FINANCE

MASTER’S ADDRESS

VISIT TO CAMBRIDGE

The Minister of Finance, the Hon. W. Downie Stewart, will visit Cambridge on Monday evening, and deliver an address in the Town Hall there. This is the first Ministerial address to be delivered since the end of the State’s financial year, and it is anticipated that the Minister will give an indication of the state of the Dominion's balance sheet with a result of the operations of the past 12 months. It is customary for the Minister of Finance to make at least one presessional address annually intimating the condition of the people’s purse.
