NEW COUNCILLORS
THREE FROM TAMAKI AND ORAKEI Although Auckland voters elected a Mayor and 21 councillors at the last poli the number sitting round the City Council table next Thursday night will reach the unwieldy total of 2S, including the Mayor. The amalgamation of Avondale added three councillors, and Tamaki and Orakei will now add three more between them. The new members. according to advice from the acting-Minister of Internal Affairs, are: For Tamaki, Messrs, J. W. Carr, chairman of the ex-Road Board, and J. H. Hubber. a member of the board; for Orakei, Mr. G. Newcombe, chairman of the defunct Road Board.
