KEENEY SAILS FOR U.S. “DON’T CARE RAP FOR GENE” (United P.A. —By Telegraph — Copyright) (Australian Pres 3 Association) Reed. noon. LONDON, Wednesday. The New Zealand boxer, Tom Heeney, has sailed for America, to go into training at Atlantic City. He said: “I feel more like a schoolboy going on holiday than facing the stiffest fight of my career. I do not care a rap for Tunney’s reputation. 1 am just going to do my utmost for myself and the Empire.” His manager, Mr. Mortimer, says Heeney’s great pluck will keep him on his feet, whatever Tunney does. “Heeney has more determination and strength than any other British heavyweight I have seen,” he added. “He has a wcnderiui chance of winning.”
