HOCKEY PLAYERS' DANCE
FUNCTION AT DRURY The Drury Ladies’ Hockey Club held a very enjoyable and successful dance in the Drury Public Hall on April 19 at which there was a very la rye attendance. The hall was attractively decorated with gailv-coloured streamers and balloons. A dainty supper was served in the supper-room, which was decked with the club s colours, navy and gold. Excellent dance music was provided by Phil Hardman’s orchestra, and extras were supplied by Mr. Posselwaite. Air. J. Brooks acted as M.C. In a very large measure the success attending the function was due to Airs. J. Jarvie, of Runciman, and her committee. Among those present were:—Airs. J. Brooks, black and pink georgette. Airs. J. Jarvie, frock of black silk crepe. Airs. W. Waterhouse, black panne velvet. Airs. Sharpe, black silk frock and cream shawl. Airs. W. Kinlock, battleship grey crepe satin. Miss O. Slack, biscuit-coloured lace and georgette. Miss B. King, pink crepe de chine and lace. Aliss E. Stewart, Auckland, black velvet, with flower trimming. Aliss B. Pattle, sea green satin and silver lace. Aliss E. Aichen, mauve crepe de chine, inset with lace. Aliss E. AlacPherson, flame frock of georgette. Miss E. Jarvie, frock of gold taffeta. ABss G. Waterhouse, pink crepe de chine and silver lace. Aliss E. Sutherland, salmon pink taffeta. Aliss AI. McDowell, wistaria mauve satin. Aliss K. Brooks, floral frock of taffetas. Aliss M. Wilson, rose pink satin and sequins. Aliss J. Alunro, black ring velvet frock. Aliss E. Stokes, delphinium blue silk. Aliss P. Mullins, leaf green crepe de chine. Aliss J. Nobbs, frock of flame georgette. Aliss R. Geraghty, apple green crepe de chine. Aliss It. Burret, black beaded georgette. Aliss Ralph, white crepe de chine. Aliss M. Bradbury, almond green taffetas. Aliss K. Fitzpatrick, lemon taffetas frock. Aliss D. Laing, iris mauve satin. Aliss V. Kinlock, reseda green crepe de chine. Aliss Heely, flame satin frock, with lace overdress.
